Happy Birthday!

This I write for my friend who moves on to another year in his life, this week!
Should I write about achievements, failures, ideals, principles, dreams, hopes or compromises? Like every human being his life is full of these. And contains the additional package of happiness, sorrow, disappointment and pride which comes along in such life!
I had the opportunity to watch him go through this life to some extent. At this time, this may not be the best he deserves but he is doing well. He is living this life full, accepting it, facing it (mostly!), and trying his best to make it better for him and others. Though compromised on certain dreams, still holding on to many principles! And all the while never giving up on faith!
Faith in his God! Holding on to him strong, leaning on whenever he is weak, sharing the success and failure with him! I am always amazed and amused by your strong faith, my friend! (Although I may not agree with your concept always!) But I appreciate what you are doing now (which only a few would do) and wish you good luck for the next year! And let your faith give you the wisdom and courage to live happily! And to reach for your dreams!

Happiness!

I have to share this today!
My reflection on myself, how I've been fortunate to reach for happiness despite the odds in life! And how glad I am to be what I am now! It is a nice feeling to be satisfied with life on any particular time in life, and I should thank the Allmighty power for this!

Ellah Pughazhum Iraivanukkai!

Congratulations Rahman! You took us and Tamil to Oscars. Thank you!

Jai Ho Rahman!

A.R. Rahman represents us! chennai, India and especially our hardworking class!

And 'Slumdog millionaire' reflects our poorer class. Its life and the indomitable spirit!
I originally belong to the middle class India, where achievements donot/cannot happen without hope and hardwork. Changes in life can be sudden, dramatic, happy or hurting but life goes on with small moments of happiness cherished! You may neither be the best nor the 'good' but you have a heart which can love, hope and dream!
I watched the movie in one of the good Chennai theaters, loved it and the music was so powerful! Undeniably Rahman in his best. His usual style with added effects.
Wish you all the best Rahman! You deserve this and more! We are proud of you!

Love!!??

Today is valentines day and all the hype about passing love to and forth! In recent centuries with the change in priorities and perceptions, there is a growing number of 'Days' in memory of something or somebody! It sounds funny in certain cultures where that 'something/ somebody' is what you live with almost everyday. It feels good in certain places where living is different and words carry more meaning! It probably remains un noticed in various places all over the world where everyday living is a struggle or miracle!
But to be frank it is good to see red colored balloons filled with love floating around

Pay it forward!

I saw this title few weeks ago in my video lending library and couldnt resist. A lovely movie with an interesting concept!
Pay it Forward! today reminded again by one of the bloggers I follow.
Doing good intentionally? with effort!? We need to remember to do it, get it into our system as a habit, pass it on to others for good and remember to continue!
Sounds like conscious living? Yes, I think so. Consciously being our best! And bringing the best in others. There is lot of goodness in this world, isnt it?
Anyone who reads this can try to 'pay it forward', as I do!

Why not desire?

Remembering a quality of life study I read recently. Interesting findings! how our perception of life changes over years as we grow older!

Something which interests me often is the change in dimension of our love/desire for various objects ( including human). And our perception of love! Life seems to have a strange way of changing our priorities! Thus changing our perceptions!

All of us would have desired something or somebody at some point in life. How many of us would have held such desire for the same object for ever? Very, very few probably? So why there is so much hype about giving up desires when all of us are doing so by default! or by circumstances! Loads of books, theories and discussions on non-possession when most of us dont possess anything or anybody completely ever! I think living a routine life is the better way to live rather than talking about giving-up life!

Just live the way you can, gaining and losing, never knowing how the next moment will be!
